Dashboard Overview — Your Interview Command Center

What you'll find in the analytics dashboard and how to use it daily. The dashboard is where your session history, performance trends, and quick-launch shortcuts live. Think of it as your home screen — a two-minute check each morning tells you exactly where to focus.

1

Find the Analytics Dashboard

After signing in, click Dashboard in the left sidebar. This is your home base — every session score, practice streak, and upcoming follow-up lives here.

  • The dashboard loads automatically after login if you have at least one past session.
  • If you're brand new, you'll see an empty state with quick-start links to Mock Interview and Resume Builder.
  • Bookmark the dashboard URL so you can jump straight to it from your browser.
2

Reading Your Session History

The session history panel lists every mock interview, live interview assist, and online assessment you've completed. Each entry shows the date, session type, duration, and your overall score.

  • Click any row to open the full feedback report for that session.
  • Sessions are sorted by date (newest first) by default — you can reverse the order or filter by type.
  • Completed sessions can't be edited, but you can add personal notes to any entry for future reference.
3

Understanding Your Performance Trends

The trends chart plots your scores across sessions so you can see whether you're actually improving or plateauing. It breaks down into 16 scoring categories like communication, confidence, and technical accuracy.

  • Hover over any data point to see the exact score and session details.
  • Use the category dropdown to isolate a specific skill — for example, just "Technical Accuracy" over the last month.
  • A flat or declining line in a category tells you exactly where to focus your next practice session.
4

Using Quick-Action Buttons

At the top of the dashboard, you'll see shortcut buttons for your most common actions: Start Mock Interview, Upload Resume, and Open Job Tracker. These save you from navigating through the sidebar every time.

  • The "Start Mock Interview" button drops you straight into session configuration.
  • "Upload Resume" opens the Resume Builder with the upload dialog pre-loaded.
  • Quick actions adapt based on your usage — if you use the Interview Assistant more often, it gets promoted.
5

Setting Weekly Practice Goals

Consistency matters more than marathon sessions. Set a weekly goal — say, three mock interviews per week — and the dashboard tracks your progress with a simple progress bar.

  • Go to Dashboard → Goals to set your target number of sessions per week.
  • You'll get a notification if you're behind pace by mid-week (if browser notifications are enabled in Settings).
  • Completing your weekly goal unlocks a streak counter — small motivation, but it works.

Quick Tips

  • Check the dashboard at the start of each day to see where you left off and what's coming up.
  • Use the performance trends chart to decide what to practice — don't guess, look at the data.
  • If your scores are flat across three or more sessions, change your preparation strategy rather than repeating the same approach.
  • Set realistic weekly goals. Two focused sessions beat five rushed ones.
  • Export your session history as a CSV from the settings icon in the top-right corner of the history panel.
